Explicit goal of this workshop is to explore the phenomenon of cognition in artificial and biological systems bringing scientists together from all related fields who will highlight the different viewpoints and methods proposing solutions to the common problems. In addition we aim to focus on the latest developments in the area of robust integration of perception with control and planning of dynamic moving platforms and try to compare this with biological systems.
Invited speakers from both communities will lead a discussion after the selected papers have been presented as posters, with a spotlight session. A panel discussion at the end of the workshop should create a common roadmap from the understanding of cognition to the development of artificial cognitive systems and foster collaborations between the research groups.
