Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics (https://www.ciirc.cvut.cz/) is a university institute of the Czech Technical university, the oldest university in Czech republic. CIIRC CTU was founded on July 1, 2013 and in 2017 it moved to a new building. One of the main objectives of the CIIRC is to integrate information and cybernetic research and education at the CTU, building on the links to the out-of-city centers as well as on strong links with international research centers. CIIRC CTU now recruits around 150 full time equivalent positions for researchers and is gradually growing.
CIIRC CTU (in cooperation with VUT-CEITEC, DFKI and ZeMA) won in 2019 the European project RICAIP - The European Center of Excellence for Industrial Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. The CIIRC creates research and pedagogical workplace in scientific atmosphere, pleasant conditions for work and, in a number of areas, brings results at the world’s top research level. The CIIRC CTU became the center of support for industry 4.0 and the headquarters of the National Center for Industry 4.0. Within this center, the first extensive Testbed for Industry 4.0 is being developed primarily for the advanced development and transfer of technologies and solutions for Czech small and medium-sized companies.
The institute is located directly in the centre of Prague within walking distance from old castle and other historical places. Prague is the capital city of Czech republic with around 1,3 millions inhabitants and rich history. Prague has been a political, cultural and economic centre of central Europe and was in 2016 ranked sixth in Tripadvisor as the best world destinations. Nevertheless, regular life in Prague and Czech republic is cheaper than in western Europe.
Best regards,
